About Kayla JW Marnach

Hi, friends! My name is Kayla.

I am a speaker, author, and mom on a mission. I create easy, stress-free strategies through children’s books, blogs, tip sheets, and courses for starting the hardest of conversations, so you can become your child’s best advocate.

Raising kiddos can be a challenge, right? I know at times it was for me. There’s so much we want for them and to protect them from. But, what we should say, or do it isn’t always clear or easy, especially when it comes to discussing body boundaries, self-regulation, and life values. Like you, I wanted my daughters to be respectful, caring, responsible adults, yet teaching them those skills can be daunting. As a mother of two beautiful adult women, I’ve walked that road and want to help you bypass some of the pitfalls I’ve experienced.

After working with TBRI licensed professional counselors and therapists trained by TCU, I created the Can-Do Kids Series, and I am humbled and thrilled to hear how these books have helped counselors work with their clients, and how parents and caregivers have instilled these skills in their children.

My Body’s Mine review: A missing piece of literature in abuse prevention. Jessica Kilpatrick, MA, LPC, Director of Training and Program Development at STARRY

I Can Do That! review: I Can do That! inspires children to be “Can-Do” people and helps them learn to calm down during times of distress. Dr. Casey Call, Assistant Director, Karen Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU

My Actions Matter review: An easy to use tool that is foundational in implementing life value strategies for children and their ability to connect with others. Brandi Winters, LCSW

I’ve created this site as a place I can share parenting tips (including self-care!) to help you navigate the often-tumultuous times of feeling overwhelmed and underprepared for raising your precious children. We’re in this together!

I founded my company YANA Press on the principal that You Are Not Alone. Too often I didn’t want to share my struggles because I felt I was a failure. But that wasn’t true. And it’s not true for you either. Today is a new day and a fresh start.

Today you can become your child’s (and your own!) best advocate. I’ll provide weekly parenting tips for you right here. If you subscribe to my newsletter [insert link], you’ll get these delivered to your inbox every single week.

Thank you so much for stopping by! And I can’t wait to hear from you. Please feel free to email me or message me on Twitter here or Instagram here.
